• What started as an idle thought, ....vacation in Eastern Europe?, turned into a dream come true holiday with the help of Railbookers. We received great service and advice when planning our trip. Matthew Foy our London based booking agent was our key contact and consistently available trip advisor. He had visited nearly every place we wanted to travel and suggested some that we might not have considered without his suggestion. Vienna, Prague & Budapest were all that we had in mind, but, thanks to Matthew we saw Munich, Nuremberg (absolutely charming) Bratislava and Salzburg.

  The responses to all inquires (whether via internet or phone) were always within 24 hrs. Matthew's knowledge regarding the trains, the ticketing systems, as well as the cities we were to visit was comprehensive and a great assist in helping us organize and sequence our trip, insuring comfortable transit times and appropriate lengths of stay in each city. Matthew explained that Railbookers had established relationships with many great hotels in the areas we were visiting. We upgraded our rooms over standard offerings and felt the value was reasonable and well worth it.

  Station logistics were simple. You pretty much show up to the station comfortably in advance of your departure time. Find the train, car and departure time as printed on your tickets, find the track listing for your train on the overhead station board, then up to the platform to board. More like travel of yesterday, straight forward and relaxed. We upgraded on some legs to a few premium class cars on OBB - very nice!

  In advance of our trip we received our itineraries, tickets, maps, and information on the areas we were visiting. It was all perfectly packaged and easy to understand. Taking the trains worked like magic. They leave on time, arrive on time and no airport security to deal with (what a joy). All of our hotels were within easy walking distance to everything we wished to see and then some.

  We highly recommend Railbookers as wonderful way to travel through Europe. For us, Spain and Portugal are up next and we can't wait.
